2125年,为了寻觅新的动力（生齿爆炸到一百来亿了）,太阳系开辟机构决议推动“木星太阳化筹划”,定于2140年实现这一筹划。驻扎在火线基地“米涅瓦”的筹划主任本田英二（三浦友跟）就在这时间与得到接洽多年的情人马利亚相逢了,然而他不晓得的是,玛丽亚是旨在损坏这一筹划的极其环保构造“木星教团”的损坏小组组长。在宇宙言语学家威廉姆的赞助下,英二乘坐木星探查艇“JADE－III”看望了数万年前来访的宇宙人的飞船“木星之魂”。另一方面,英二的友人PILOTKING跟地理学家井上乘坐的宇宙船罹难,考察的成果,是遭受黑洞所致。太阳系面对被黑洞吞噬的危急。处理危急的办法只有一个,经由过程引爆木星来转变黑洞的轨道（剧组在这个疑问上花了很大的精神,乃至动用了盘算机做验证跟盘算任务）。英二与基地内职员一同为拯救太阳系而尽力的时间,玛利亚带人杀进了基地。。。。。
