这是Qatsi记载片三部曲的最后一部。Qatsi是美国印第安土人Hopi语,意思是生涯。本片因为受资金困扰,2002年才得以刊行,制造时光长达十年,但却不象后面两部作品Powaqqatsi (1988)跟Koyaanisqatsi (1983) 那样广受好评。音乐仍旧由Philip Glass操刀,马友友则在此片中担负大提琴合奏。有名影评人ROGER EBERT说：“I have problems with "Naqoyqatsi" as a film, but as a music video it''s rather remarkable."（“Naqoyqatsi作为一部影片有不少疑问,作为MTV倒相称精彩。"）1983年,受IRS(Institute of Regional Study)委托,导演雷吉奥拍出了一部非叙事性的电视片,在这基本上,Qatsi系列第一部惊世之作「掉衡生涯」(Koyaanisqatsi)应运而生。在掉掉落了包含卢卡斯!科波拉等人的鼎力支撑与推广之后,「掉衡生涯」在事先造成了惊动性的后果。5年当前,Qatsi系列第二部「变形生涯」(Powaqqatsi)出生,只管不在第一部的基本上获得大的打破,但也不掉为水准之作。「战役生涯」的出生阅历了很多崎岖。只管「掉衡的生涯」与「变形的生涯」都获得了相称好的评估,但在拍摄时期,导演仍旧面对严峻的资金疑问。在这种情形下,只管派拉蒙公司曾经为前两部片子刊行了DVD,然而雷吉奥仍旧保持收回版权,让想要购置DVD的影迷独自与他接洽,单价150美金,作为对第三部影片拍摄用度的支撑。最后在米拉迈克斯公司的支撑下,由有名导演斯蒂芬·索德伯格（「性!假话!录像带」,「毒品收集」,「永不让步」）出任履行制片,历经10余年,终于实现了这部作品。片子里布满着那些好像有意剪接到一同的镜头,一会是冲天的原枪弹,一会是变色的披收回奇怪眼光的多利羊,以及飘忽往复的天下舆图,股票市场,数字,跟人的游行……而后接着来了警员,以及挥动的棍棒,长长的有刀的枪,另有飞过的枪弹的咆哮……镜头一转,咱们又看到了拳击手的袭击跟倒下,本•拉登跟胡子,另有变形的电脑,不绝的毫有意思的辩论。接着另有什么！活动着乐音的跟不声响的阅兵,渐渐而进的汽车,布什,轮盘赌,云霄飞车,快餐,速率,收集……最后留下的是逝世亡,爆炸,而那些优雅情况里的键盘跟字母在飘动,汽车来了,光芒亮了,车灯射过去,有人在呜咽……

动画剧情舞台为2047年，与人类之敌「D2」对抗而荒废的美国。指挥家「朝雏タクト」与「Musicart」的少女「命运」，在失去音乐的世界中各自为了自身的渴望，共同出发前往纽约。

After success cleaning up Dodge City, Wyatt Earp moves to Tombstone, Arizona, and wishes to get rich in obscurity. He meets his brothers there, as well as his old friend Doc Holliday. A band of outlaws that call themselves The Cowboys are causing problems in the region with various acts of random violence, and inevitably come into confrontation with Holliday and the Earps, which leads to a shoot-out at the OK Corral.

An elderly art dealer Olavi (72) is about to retire. A man who has always put business and art before everything - even his family - cannot imagine life without work. At an auction, an old painting catches his attention. Olavi suspects it is worth much more than its starting price, which is low because its authenticity hasn't been confirmed. Olavi's instincts kick in. He decides to make one last deal in order to earn some proper pension money. At the same time, Olavi's daughter Lea (42) - whom he hasn't seen for years - asks him to help her with his teenage grandson Otto (15). Together with Otto, Olavi starts to investigate the background of the painting. They find out that the painting is called Christ and was painted by Ilya Repin. Olavi manages to buy the painting, but when the auction house realizes that there has been a mistake with the original pricing, they turn against him. To fulfill his dream, the old dealer must face both the auction house and his own past mistakes
